Finance: All league fees have been paid but there are still a couple of outstanding Sponsors still to pay. GK has invoiced and IC will chase. Still awaiting the initial RFU funding of £100 per league. A discussion took place regarding the additional funding from the RFU that is now performance based. JP told the meeting that to get the additional money the leagues needed to improve on its games played based on a percentage of the scheduled games as per the GMS against last season. IC raised the issue that whether our core rules should be changed to be able to meet the criteria, with more postponements, double headers etc or where we just pushing the problem until later in the season. JP showed some figures to prove the point and he said we were running at about 81% completion at present. He said he would continue to keep the committee up to date with our performance.

Sponsorship: 2 leagues 4E and 4W sponsors as reported earlier still hadn’t paid. 2S and 5W had no sponsor at all. FS asked the league managers to mention it to their contacts to see is they had any potential sponsors within their clubs.

Postponements and Re-arrangements: With immediate effect it will no longer be possible to postpone and re-arrange a more senior teams game when the lower team(s) have a game.

Cup Competition: JP had drawn up a possible cup competition for all levels. It included a Div 3 north and south cup making it 7 in all. The Competition would start at the beginning of April and would complete on Finals day on 6th May 23 (This has now been superseded since the meeting due to the announcement that the King’s coronation will be on that date – Finals date is now April 29th with the first round starting a week earlier in March)
