Walkovers...

There have unfortunately been a number of walkovers in recent weeks - strangely enough most of which have been down to Teams not travelling.

This is not truly in the spirit of Colts League Rugby as honouring fixtures is everything... home or away.

Whilst wishing those struggling every success in recruiting further players and turning out their team we would remind all Teams of Pre-Match Regulation 3(3b). If an Away Team causes a walkover then the next fixture between the two Teams will be reversed and played at the venue of the originally cancelled fixture.

...and of the 4 Strikes Rule: Regulation 3(3d). Repeat offenders who cause walkovers will be sanctioned and are liable to be expelled from the League on a 4 Strikes & Out basis. ie: following a fourth failure to honour a fixture.

...plus the additional sanctions and penalties attached thereto as per Reg 3(3e). and 3(3f).

The Hon Fixtures Secretary will endeavour to reverse the corresponding fixtures on GMS, however Managers should advise their League Secretary if fixture reversals are required.

Both Managers are reminded to inform their Referees Society likewise ASAP.
