The Cock-o-the-North Challenge Cup Finals are seen by some as the epitaph to a successful Colts' season and by many players as the crowning glory to their Colts Rugby career.

Chairman David Baker's band of Valued Volunteers from Wharfedale RUFC, headed up by Headley Verity, did the Competition proud in successfully staging the 2015 Challenge Finals this past weekend (Sun 10th May), for which the NW Colts League Organising Committee are exceedingly grateful.

Thanks are due all-round; to Gordon Brown for producing an excellent Match Day Programme, to John Spencer, Wharfedale President and Bristish & Irish Lions 2017 New Zealand Tour Manager for presenting the Trophies and Medals, to Ed Williams for his whitty commentary, and to Adj for finishing off the Tannoy Banter in his usual Wharfedale style.

Drawing together the top League Winning Colts Teams from across the North the matches were an exhilerating display of Colts Rugby, for which thankfully the sun shone throughout...

Summing up the day, Frank Morgan, Hon President of the Raging Bull NW Colts League commented on the excellent standards of play from these fine young men - who, Frank states in his inimitable Wigan brogue, are old enough to fight in Iraq and Afghanistan, but not yet old enough to play 80 minutes of Rugby...

In Colts' tradition the final words were with the Referee, and President Frank expressed the NW Colts League Committee's grateful thanks to the Teams of Match Officials from the Yorkshire West Riding Referees' Society; for letting the games flow in true Colts' style.

Congratulations to all the Teams on reaching the Colts Challenge Finals. An excellent day was had by all, and Colts Rugby was surely the Winner...
