Directions: |
FROM THE SOUTH EAST: Travel north on the M6, then take the M62 west (it takes about 40 minutes from the services at J8 on the M62 to Waterloo FC) then take the M57 north to the roundabout at the end (also where M58 ends)
FROM THE NORTH: Travel south on the M6, then take the M58 west to end of motorway were M58 ends at roundabout (M57 ends here as well).
At the end of the motorways go onto the roundabout and take the exit onto the A5036 heading towards Bootle and Docks (GET INTO RIGHT HAND LANE). At first set of traffic lights (there is a Police Station on right hand side) turn right onto the A5207 Northern Perimeter Road, following signs to
Sefton, Thornton & Formby.
Keep on the main road around the perimeter of the housing estate.
Follow road to traffic lights (1.5 miles) and continue straight across A5207 Lydiate Lane.
(NOTE: this is still the A5207 but from this point onwards this stretch of road is now called Lydiate Lane).
Follow road past cemetery and "NAGS HEAD PUB" (both on the right hand side) to traffic lights.
Turn left at these lights onto the A565 Moor Lane.
Liverpool, Crosby & Bootle.
Go straight through 4 sets of traffic lights to a roundabout.
At the roundabout take the fourth exit (basically turning right ) onto Oaklands Avenue, and continue through
housing estate.
Watch for signs to Waterloo RUFC.
At end of Oaklands Avenue turn left at T-junction, then immediately right and bear right into St. Michael's Road.
After 400 yards there is a small roundabout, take the second exit remaining on St. Michael's Road.
After 300 yards you arrive at a junction (St.Michael's Church on the right) , go straight across at cross roads.
Waterloo Rugby Club is 50 yards on the right. |
