The RFU National Under 17's Competition features the Cup, Plate, Bowl, and Shield.

... into the RFU National Under 17's Competition is by nomination and is not a given right of qualification. Nominations are in the remit of the Northern Divisional Organiser

Top Tier Teams from the Raging Bull NW Colts Leagues will go forward to represent their CB and the Colts League. Nominations will be dependant on performance throughout the season and a Team's standing at the conclusion thereof... or by the nomination date.

The Divisional Semi-Finals and Finals feature opponents from the old Northern Division.

Northern Divisional Champions in each Competition go forward to play the Midlands Champions in the RFU National U17 Semi-Finals and then onwards to the RFU National U17 Finals.

NB: Losers of the Divisional Semi's will be brought back into the Colts League Playoffs, weekends permitting. Those giving walkovers will not...

Nat U17 Fixture Dates (2017) are as per the RFU Youth Structured season.

Sun 12th March - Divisional Semi-Finals - (Home Team as Drawn)

Sun 26th March - Divisional Finals - (Home Team as Drawn)

Sun 09th April - National Semi-Finals  - (Venue TBA)

Sun 30th April - National Finals - (Venue TBA)


NB:
Should any dates Clash with a County Cup date then the RFU tie will take priority and the County Cup fixture will be re-scheduled... BUT please have the courtesy to keep your County Cup Organisers, Opponents, and Referee Society informed.



The Divisional Organiser has stressed this Competition is for Club Based Colts Teams. He will not mediate between Clubs who are not prepared to honour the fixture dates published in the Structured Season. Fixtures cannot be moved because of Clashes with Schools Sevens Tournaments or a School's Daily Mail commitments, and Matches can only be re-arranged if BOTH Clubs agree.



Player Qualification & RFU Registrations
All Teams are reminded that players must have been registered on the RFU's Rugby First Database by the 31st December 2016. The National Organiser will be checking registrations on all Match Cards and those who field late registered or unregistered players will be disqualified.

Further "Player Qualification" criteria are detailed in the National U17's Competition Regulations.

Managers may wish to note Regulation 10.2 of the above regulations regarding
RFU travel assistance for trips of more then 200 miles (round trip).
