Colts League Teams Co-Operate to Defy The Weather...

With pitches at Bolton under water, and with the co-operation of their would-be visitors Rochdale, Bolton Junior Colts managed to reverse their fixture at short(ish) notice this weekend (Sunday 26th October) and instead succeeded in playing their Colts League game at Rochdale.

The Referee was sorted too, with a little help from David Hurst at M&D.

The following message was received from Chris Lewin at Bolton :~

To : League Secretary

I would like to say thanks for the help that you, Andy Thompson, and Mike Henry gave me over the weekend to ensure that our game went ahead even with the change of venue and the change of Referee at short notice.

It was great to see that both teams had a good game of rugby.

Thanks again, greatly appreciated.

Well done to Bolton & Rochdale Junior Colts in co-operating to get their game played in spite of the weather, and thanks to Chris Lewin at Bolton for taking the trouble to keep us all informed...

Moral of the story - in co-operation we can all overcome adversity...

If your pitches are suffering with the recent weather it could be worth talking to your opponents who's pitches may be in a more suitable condition.

Regards in Colts Rugby,

Jon Kitchen.
League Secretary.
