President Frank...
The 3rd Annual General Meeting of the
HALBRO North West Colts League saw the (unanimous) election of the ever popular Lancastrian, Frank Morgan, to the newly created office of President.
In his acceptance speech Frank made no apologies for his dedication to Colts Rugby for the past 33 years, and exclaimed he was "delighted" to receive the honour.
However, he did not plan for this to be a purely honourary post, and pledged to continue to actively support the further development of Colts Rugby through the Leagues.
Colts Club Rugby, he stated, is the future of our great game, and many Clubs have already benefitted from the efforts of the Colts League assisting them with the development and retention of players.
The Leagues provide equitable games of competitive rugby where these lads can further develop their skills, and Colts League Rugby has been the saviour of many Clubs already.
Taking things forward it is now up to every Member of every Club to back this up by putting our combined efforts into assisting with the recruitment and development of Referees to further strengthen the game.
