Praise for Opposition in Lancashire Colts Cup...

The Lancashire Colts Committee are pleased to have received the following
e-mail - truly in the Spirit and Ethos of Colts Rugby...

e-mail reads :~

David,

I feel compelled to write to you to sing the praises of your Junior Colts team and the accompanying coaches and parents. Not only was todays Lancashire Cup 1st round tie a great match between our 2 teams, but after a tackle on a Fleetwood player by our Captain
and my son, David Ackerley, David lay injured after twisting in the tackle.

It turned out that he had dislocated his knee after his studs had stuck in the turf and he had turned to tackle the Fleetwood player. The help, support and attention given to both David and myself by the Fleetwood contingent was a credit to junior rugby and Fleetwood RUFC.

One of your lady supporters stayed with him for an hour while we waited for an ambulance, and the good luck messages and enquiries about him after the game were passed to me later today. David is home and feeling very sore but is himself grateful for all the help and support he has recieved today from all at the game. Hopefully he will be back playing sometime early next year after also rupturing his medial ligaments in the dislocation.

Please pass on my thanks to all for their good wishes and support today, and good luck to Jonathon Amor and his team for the rest of the season.

Regards,
Gary Ackerley - Manager & Head Coach - Liverpool Collegiate Junior Colts.

FOOTNOTE :~
Thanks to Gary Ackerley for taking the time to pen this e-mail.
An example to us all...
