John Munn - RIP...

It is with deep regret and much sadness I have to report the passing to higher service of John Munn.

John was a Stalwart of the Colts League Committee for many years, serving in various offices, first and foremost as the Sunday Appointments Secretary for the Liverpool & District Referees Society, for whom he was lately their Senior (Saturday) Appointments Secretary.

He subsequently became a League Secretary for the Coles League, as well as Minutes Secretary to the Committee, and in recent seasons he also undertook the arduous task of Seeding Secretary for the Senior Colts Leagues.

John was a True Gent, always prepared to believe the best of people; a little surprising for a retired Police Officer. He was a great servant of Colts League Rugby, he always kept me on my toes, and I am proud to have known and worked with him as a friend and colleague.

He will be sadly missed by the many throughout the game who knew him, and we offer our thoughts and prayers to Linda and John's wider family at this sad time...

We trust John will have his boots and whistle with him, and as the last word in Colts Rugby tradition must always be with The Referee; so I use John's own last words from his answerphone message at home...
