Issue 9 - 25th June 2010
(1). To be eligible to play in any Colts League or League Cup game Players must be registered as Members of their Club with the RFU's Young Player Registrations Scheme.
(2). Managers must be in possession of the RFU I/D Cards (or a sheet of cards) and the RFU Registration Number for every player they intend to field.
(3). All Players must also be registered on the official Squad Registration Form, which should be dated with each submission and sent to the League by FAX or e-mail (click links for instructions).
(4). Each Season new Squad Registration Forms must be completed and submitted at the same time as the Entry Forms; ie: before 1st June. This facilitates the seeding process.
(5). Managers are advised to save and keep a copy of their Squad Registration Form for any subsequent additions. Updated forms should be re-dated and submitted as per (3) above.
(6). New Players (inc RFU Reg No) must be added to the Squad Registration Form, which must be submitted to the League before they can play.
(7). RFU Registration Numbers are obtained by registering a Player with the RFU as a Member of your Club. Your Club's Youth Registrations Officer can assist with this. See (1) above.
(8). New Players must not play in a Colts League or League Cup game until properly registered with the RFU and the League in accordance with these Squad Registration Regulations - under penalty of a one point deduction per game / offence.
(9). If a New Player joins your Team from another Club the RFU Registration will be a "Transfer" and Managers must make every effort to inform the Player's "Old Club" of the change of Club registration.
(10). Managers are advised to carry a copy of their "Squad Registration Forms" and "RFU I/D Cards" with them each matchday, which should be available for exchange with their opposite number.
Player Registration Window...
(11). The RFU's U17 Player Registration Window closes on 31st December each season. Players cannot be registered with an U17 Team nominated to the RFU's National U17's competition after this date.
(12). The Colts League's Player Registration Window closes immediately following the final League game of the season - normally the last Sunday in February. Players changing Clubs cannot be registered with another Team after this date. New players to the area may be permitted to register on special application to the League Secretary.
New or Updated Squad Registration Forms should be saved (as "Your Team" name) as a Word.doc and e-mailed to the League on squadreg@colts-rugby.org.uk
