YOUNG PLAYER REGISTRATION REGULATIONS

 Issue 3 - 9th May 2008

YOUNG PLAYER REGISTRATION REGULATIONS

(1). Young Player Registrations must be arranged through you own Club's "Youth Registration Officer" or with your County Youth Registrar.

(2). "Young Player Registration Forms" are available by clicking "here".

(3). An RFU Guide to "On-Line Registrations" is available "here".

(4). Clubs outside the Lancashire RFU & Cheshire RFU areas should make arrangements for Youth / Young Player Registrations and I/D cards via their own County Youth Registrar.

(5). RFU / WRU Young Player Registration - Photo I/D Cards must be made up and carried for every Player.

(6). RFU Photo I/D Cards should have their photo's updated at U17.

(7). RFU Photo I/D Cards, or other suitable proof of age and I/D (passport etc...) must be available for inspection between Managers before each game.

(8). Managers or Coaches wishing to check their opponents I/D Cards must do so in line with RFU Guidelines at least 30 minutes before the scheduled Kick Off time. Teams failing to make their RFU or other I/D cards available for checking may forfeit the game.

.

If you need further help or advise on Young Player Registrations you could also contact your County Youth Registration Officer :

Cheshire RFU - Jane Cliff on Tel : 01260-270624

Lancashire RFU - Sandra Richardson : 01524-822235

Managers Must Note...
Applications for Young Player Registrations must be made in good time – the League, the County, and the RFU take a dim view of Managers / Coaches disturbing County Registrars on a Friday evening attempting to achieve registrations for that weekend.

How do I know an Opposition Player is of the correct age ?
All Managers and Coaches have a Duty of Care to the Players in their charge and to their opposition. Player Selections must be within the correct age group for the Team.

Managers wishing to check their opponents RFU Youth Registration Cards against the Players to confirm this must do so in line with RFU Guidelines at least 30 minutes before the scheduled Kick Off time.

If for some reason a Player is awaiting an RFU Registration Number and I/D Card a suitable alternative form of I/D such as a passport must be shown, on request, as proof of age, otherwise the Player must not play.

Teams failing to make their RFU Young Player Registration I/D Cards and their Players available may be deducted points and may forfeit the game.
