Checking Player's RFU I/D Cards |
RFU Guidance Notes : Checking RFU Young Player Identification Cards
Any person wishing to check an RFU Young Player I/D Card must hold an enhanced RFU CRB disclosure which they MUST show to their opposite number.
When RFU I/D Cards are to be checked this MUST be done at least 30 minutes prior to kick-off, and a Coach or Team Manager from Both Teams participating in the match MUST be present at all times.
A Coach or Mangaer may check the details of any or all Players against their RFU I/D cards, and may ask any Player to confirm his own date of birth.
However, the Coach / Manager must undertake this procedure in a friendly non-intimidating manner. It is vital that during this process the Player(s) in question feel at ease with the situation and do not feel intimidated in any way.
Players likewise should be encouraged to respect the process, which is designed to protect their interests. . Jon Kitchen 08/25/2007
